irregular service resumed
I'm not sure if anybody noticed but i've been a bit quiet here at sevenzeds for a while. Although I haven't made much (non-commercial) work lately, my wife and I have made a beautiful baby girl which is far better than a few nihilistic doodles, I think you'll agree. I have also been busy for the last year or so over at Flush Draw making promos and interstitials and the like for the telly. Now I have made a new, simple, easily-updatable website ready to receive all the new work I make.

That's the plan. I have started drawing a couple of comic strips. Hard-Boiled Chef is a noir-ish yarn about an existential French rugby player and a celebrity chef with a dark secret. Some of the images on the sevenzeds header are taken from that.
Also under way is the unwieldy titled (Carnet de) Voyage Beyond the Sea - a sideways glance at autobiographical comics, sex tourism and... lobsters.
I'll also be developing some ideas for short films and trying to get funding for them and even shorter films - which, hopefully, I can just make and put up here on the site.
Watch this space. But don't hold your breath.
