🎓 I am thrilled to share that I have officially graduated with my Master's degree from SCAD! 🎉It has been a little over a month since I had the chance to walk across the stage with my name being called out, celebrating my achievement, my family and friends sitting in the crowd as they watched me being giddy and collecting my degree. I still can't forget the feeling of pride I felt when I walked across the stage and realized "Ah, I finally made it."Throughout my life, I have always struggled to find my voice as a creative but coming to SCAD changed that for me. I was thrown into a world of like-minded creatives who saw me for what I did not even realize I held the potential for. I went from being a shy girl who hesitated to share an opinion publicly to becoming a voice that you would always hear in class because of how much I wanted to share and learn. The person who joined SCAD in 2022 is vastly different from how I project myself today. This journey has been transformative, and I am incredibly proud of myself for making it to this milestone. Along the way, I was honored to receive two prestigious awards: the Student Leadership Award and the SCAD Outstanding Achievement Award. This came as a surprise to me because this is the first time I have been recognized for something, it makes me realize that I may be worth more than I give myself credit for. These accomplishments wouldn't have been possible without the guidance and support of my amazing professors, Prof. Ricardo Navarro who has been no short of a guiding star, a mentor who changed the trajectory of my life with his constant support, Prof. Christine Van Duyn who saw potential in me and guided me to see my worth even when I could not, Prof. Mary Kerdasha who encouraged me to give it my all whether it was through kind words or feedback, Prof. Sarah Boehm and Catherine Pizzichemi without whom I could not have completed my thesis. Your mentorship has been invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for your dedication and encouragement.A special thank you to Paula S. Wallace for creating a space where creatives like myself can discover and amplify our voices as designers. Savannah College of Art and Design has been more than just a school for me; it has been a community where I have met incredible people who have inspired and pushed me to be the best version of myself. It is a place where I found myself. To SCAD and everyone who has been a part of this journey, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am excited to see where this path leads and to continue growing and creating in the world of design. 🐝 Here's to new beginnings and endless possibilities! 🌟#SCAD #Graduation #StudentLeadershipAward #OutstandingAchievementAward #InteriorDesign #Grateful #Proud #NewBeginnings
