Umbral Eye Locations - Lords of the Fallen Guide - IGN (2025)

Lords of the Fallen’s umbral eyes are a collectible used to upgrade the Umbral Lamp. Each Umbral Eye comes with a special buff, depending on which Umbral lamp socket (first or secondary) they’re inserted to. Here’s an overview of every Umbral Eye in Lords of the Fallen and where to find them.

Umbral Eye 1: Marco the Axe

Defeat a Red Wraith while in the Umbral. The wraith appears when your multiplier hits 3x and the eye in the upper right corner of the screen turns red. Beware that these wraiths are highly dangerous, so try to do this shortly after upgrading your character, when you don’t have much to lose.

Umbral Eye 2: Ethryg

Complete Byron’s side quest by finding Catrin's pendant. In short, Byron is an NPC often located near Vestiges. Talk to him whenever you see him, and he’ll tell you about a lost pendant. When exploring the Revelation Depths, you can find a merchant called Winterberry, who has this pendant in her inventory. Solve the problem between her and Byron, and you’ll receive the Umbral eye of Ethryg.

Umbral Eye 3: Betrayed Eliard

Starting from the Vestige of Marco the Axe, enter Umbral and turn to your left. Drop down the platforms and you’ll see the Umbral Eye of the Betrayed Eliard right in front of you.

Umbral Eye 4: Rosamund

Starting from the Vestige of Blind Agatha, go inside the nearby cavern, turn on the Umbral Lamp, and go up the staircase that appears. The Umbral Eye of Rosamund is a bit further ahead in the open area.

Umbral Eye 5: Pale Butcher

Starting from the Vestige of Valade, take the path behind Byron and keep following it for a while; past the large tree trunk, then to the right, along the path with the torches until you reach the village with the large fire in the middle. Activate your Umbral Lamp, then walk through the middle of the village until you find the location shown in the picture.

Umbral Eye 6: The Hooded Antuli

It’s in Fitzroy’s Gorge, on an old stone tower somewhere between the Vestige of the Pale Butcher and the Vestige of Sebastian. Starting from the Vestige of the Pale Butcher, you need to go in the direction of the torches and then follow the path all the way through Fitzroy’s Gorge, over the narrow path along the cliffs and through the large cavern system. This will lead you outside, where you’ll see a large stone bridge and a tower on the other side. Climb the tower to find the ledge as shown in the picture.

Umbral Eye 7: Dieter

It’s in the Revelation Depths. Our Revelation Depths walkthrough will explain this in more detail, but you can reach this area if you explore the region below the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian (take the lift down, then go downstairs until you reach the Revelation Depths). Keep following the path through the Revelation Depths until you reach the cliffs with the wooden platforms. On one of the first platforms, the highest level, enter Umbral and look for the spot as shown in the picture; jump on the ledge on the left first, then to the right to find the Umbral Eye of Dieter.

Umbral Eye 8: The Bloody Pilgrim

Starting from the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian (Upper Calrath), go outside, turn right, and go through the locked gate using Soulflay (you’ll need the Umbral Lamp for this). Continue following the path across the large square and through the large wine cellar. Directly after emerging from the cellar, go left to find a square with a tree in the middle. The Umbral Eye location is right here.

Umbral Eye 9: Iorelo the Cursed Knight

You need the Pilgrim’s Perch Key, which you can get from Stormund, to reach this Umbral Eye location. Once you have it, warp to the Vestige of Blind Agatha and open the locked door, then follow the path until you see the pit with the enemies trapped below. Jump down and defeat them, then follow the path to the right, leading to a wooden platform outside. Before taking the next door inside (next to the large bell), enter the Umbral to see the Umbral Eye location as shown in the picture.

Umbral Eye 10: Eye of Loash

Starting from the Vestige of Dieter, take the path to your right and follow it all the way down until you see the large gate shown in the picture. The Umbral Eye of Loash is on the left side.

Umbral Eye 11: Olleren

Inside the Tower of Penance. After entering the building (following the fight against Carrion Knight Sanisho on the bridge), it’s on your right.

Umbral Eye 12: Blind Agatha

After making your way through the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters for a while, look for the outside area shown in the picture – it’s just before the large cathedral-like room where the Rapturous Huntress of the Dusk boss resides. Enter the Umbral, and you’ll be able to move across the platforms towards the round tower on the left. This is where you’ll find the Umbral Eye of Blind Agatha.

Umbral Eye 13: Doln

Starting from the Vestige of Iorelo the Cursed Knight, go outside and cross the yard. When you see the large door on the other side, turn right as shown in the picture. You can drop down and reach the Umbral Eye of Doln after entering the Umbral.

Umbral Eye 14: Lost Berescu

Enter Bramis Castle (starting from the Vestige of the Forgotten Guardian, near the end of the game) and follow the path for a while, past the Damarose the Marked’s boss arena and the path with all the lava on the left side. When you reach the higher square with the fallen tower, enter Umbral and turn left, following a pathway previously blocked by fire. Stick to the right and you’ll see the structure shown in the picture on your left-hand side. This Umbral Body contains the Umbral Eye of Lost Berescu.

Umbral Eye 15: Lydia the Numb Witch

It’s found shortly before entering the fight against The Sundered Monarch, near the end of your Bramis Castle walkthrough. After passing through the bedroom and crossing the path between the red crystals, you’ll find yourself on a broad stone staircase, leading to a boss fight. If you enter Umbral here, you’ll see the Umbral Eye of Lydia the Numb Witch on your right hand.
